Christian Brembeck, born in Munich in 1960, studied at the Munich State High School for Music with the teachers Franz Lehrndorfer and Gitti Pirner and visited master-classes with Sergiu Celibidache and Uros Lajovic. His subsequent international concert career as an organist, harpsichordist, conductor and chamber musician regularly takes him to many European countries and Japan and is the foundation of his reputation as one of the best, most interesting musicians of his generation. In 1991 he founded the period ensembles PARTHENIA VOCA & BAROQUE, with whom he has made numerous performances and first recordings of masterpieces from bygone eras. In his capacity as a conductor, he directs orchestras and ensembles in Germany, Austria, France and Spain and works together with renowned soloists. Christian Brembeck has made an impressive number of recordings for gramophone, radio and television, in which he repeatedly shows himself a champion of neglected and forgotten musical masterpieces. In the ten years between 1986 and 1996 he also was a pianist, harpsichordist and organist for the Munich Philharmonic and the well known Tölz Boys´Choir. Christian Brembeck was a soloist in great European concert centres (e.g. the philharmonic halls of Berlin, Cologne and Munich, the Schauspielhaus Berlin, Auditorio Nacional Madrid, De Singel Antwerpen, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Sala Giuseppe Verdi Milano, Auditorio RAI Torino, Tonhalle Zürich, Victoria Hall Geneve, Auditorium de Louvre Paris, Megaron Athen ) and also in Israel (Jerusalem Theatre, Mann Auditorium Tel Aviv) and the Far East (Hong Kong Cultural Center, Suntory Hall Tokyo, National Concert Hall Taipeh). He played recitals in important cathedrals such as Passau, Munich, Salzburg, Eichstätt, Freising, Bamberg, Frankfurt, Limburg, Brixen, Linz, Aix-en-Provence, Basilica S. Lorenzo El Escorial, Ludgeri-Kirche Norden, Stiftskirche Stuttgart, Marktkirche Wiesbaden, Gedächtniskirche Berlin, Stiftsbasilika Waldsassen, Domkirke Kopenhagen and others. Christian Brembeck was a guest artist at festivals like Semana Santa Gran Canaria, Festival El Escorial 2000, Rheingau-Musiksommer 2000, Thüringer Bach-Wochen 2000 and 2001, Liturgica Jerusalem 1999, Musikfestwochen Millstatt, Mährischer Herbst Brno, Merseburger Orgeltage, Festival Orgel plus Bottrop, Orgelfest Stift Zwettl, Musiktage Salzgitter and recorded for international companies like Naxos, Christophorus, Calig, Persephone, Chalumeau, ARTE NOVA. In 2004 Christian Brembeck made his very successfull debut at the International Handel Festival Karlsruhe.
