Andrea Ceccomori earned a degree in flute performance at the Morlacchi Music Conservatory in Perugia, Italy. He pursued further studies with Severino Gazzelloni at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Italy, and with Mario Ancillotti, Angelo Persichilli, Maxence Larrieu, Roberto Fabbriciani, and Markus Stockhausen. Mr. Ceccomori performs both classical and contemporary music. He has appeared at national and international festivals such as Spazio Musica, Cagliari, Italy; Nuova Consonanza and Musica Verticale, Rome, Italy; and Biennale of Contemporay Music, Zagreb, Croatia. Other appearances include Darmstadt; Paris; Stockholm; Prague; Sophia; the Logos Foundation, Gent, Belgium; the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, Finland; Concert for Peace, Vatican City; as well as tours of Germany, Spain, Africa, Brazil, and Canada. In the United States Mr. Ceccomori has appeared as guest performer at universities in New York, Connecticut, Florida, Colorado,Pennsylvania, Georgia,Missouri,Kentucky, Mississippi. A prize winner for contemporary music of the Stresa International Competition 1988, Mr. Ceccomori can be heard on Amiata Records, BMG/Ricordi, Edipan, and Rara/ Raitrade labels. Radio and Television broadcasting include: Raiuno Italian national television, RAI Radiouno, and Radiotre, Radio Popolare, Radio Vaticana, and Rai Filodiffusione. Mr. Ceccomori is involved with the RAITRADE project to help spread the knowledge of Italian contemporary music. His articles are published in Falaut and Syrinx magazines.
