Duo Nuances (Morena Mestieri - Nicoletta Sanzin)
Morena Mestieri, flutist
Graduated with top marks from the Conservatorio G. Frescobaldi in Ferrara under the guidance of Prof. L. Ravagnani. She went to specialise with E. Caroli, C. Klemm, M.Marasco, A.Nicolet . She attended the four years Academic Course at the Academy Chigiana of Siena with A. Nicolet, getting the “Diploma di Merito”.
She won several awards in many solo and chamber music competitions (Stresa, “Schubert”, Moneglia, VillarPerosa, Moncalieri, “Brahms”, “Rovere d’oro”).
As soloist and in chamber ensembles she has performed in important concert halls and festivals (Unione Musicale di Torino,Amici della Musica di Padova, "I Teatri” di Reggio Emilia, Festival Internaz Valle dell’Itria, Rof, Castello Ursino Catania, Festival Vivaldi Venezia, "Note nei cortili"di Mantova, Società musica contemporanea di Milano, Teatro Treviso).
Morena has worked with several orchestras: Orchestra internazionale d’Italia, orchestra "Città di Ferrara", l’Orchestra del teatro"Verdi" di Trieste, l’Orchestra del Teatro “La Fenice” di Venezia, also as a soloist with orchestra Estense, Gruppo Strumentale Veneto G. F. Malipiero.
She regularly plays in many different chamber ensembles in duo with the harp, in duo with the piano, in trio (EcoensembleTrio flauto.oboe-piano - homonym cd edit from Eurarte -), in trio with cello and piano, with Alterquartet.
Morena is Professor of flute at the Scuole Medie a indirizzo musicale in Ferrara.

Nicoletta Sanzin, harpist
Nicoletta Sanzin, born in Trieste, graduated with top marks and honours from the Conservatorio J. Tomadini in Udine under the guidance of Prof. P. Tassini. She continued her studies in the United States with E. Malone and S. Mc Donald; in Italy with E. Zaniboni at the Accademia di S. Cecilia in Rome where she passed her diploma with top marks, honours and a study grant from SIAE. She has won numerous prizes in national and international competitions (First place in the International “E. Porrino” competition in Cagliari, UFAM-Paris, City of Stresa, Salvi etc). She performed at the World Harp Congresses in Vienna, Paris and Dublin and at the European Harp Symposiums in Nurnberg and Perugia. Nicoletta has worked with many orchestras (T. Verdi Trieste, the RAI Symphony orchestra in Rome, La Scala (R. Muti), Filarmonia Veneta etc; from 1995 to 2001, she was Solo Harpist in the Slovenska Filharmonija in Ljubljana, where she frequently performed also as a concerto soloist. As a soloist and in chamber ensembles, she has played in several festivals in Italy and abroad (Unione Musicale, Perugia classico, Mittelfest, Amici della musica di Padova, Gioventù Musicale, Purcell Room, Ohrid Summer Festival, Zagreb Festival, Neuebuehne, Festival Ljubljana..). She appears regurarly on broadcasting companies and has recorded several CDs. Teaching is also important to her. In 2003 she obtained the Suzuki’s Method Diploma. After teaching in the Conservatories of Udine, Trieste and Matera, she currently teaches at the N.Sala Conservatory in Benevento and at the S. Cecilia Music School in Portogruaro. Moreover, she sits on the juries of competitions, gives masterclasses and is the Italian correspondent for the World Harp Congress Review and for the online review InChordis.
