Extended description:
The church of S. Maria della Neve is a recent construction of average size. It owes its great echo back to plastered walls and stained glass windows situated near the ceiling. The organ placed in the choir occupies the whole wall above the entrance and it helps to promote the music message towards the listeners. The sounds produced by this instrument are extremely different, they assume unique combinations and can be easily adapted to the performance both antique and modern music. The sonority is characterized by high and well presented gamut affected by reverberant walls favouring the feeling as if you were at some distance from the instrument. A single sonorous undertones can be easily distinguished in the wide amalgam of music message while the listening of the Cd renders a great ambience reproducing both the real size of the organ and the splendid timbre. Using multi channel DTS one can easily recreate the real dimensions of the structure in his own room increasing the particular sonorities which are able to confer the tactility to the message. The chosen pieces bring the organ into the open in all of its registers showing the great characteristics of this instrument and presenting the performance as the musician created it. Adriano Falcioni feels completely at ease with the keyboard and his great skill makes it worth one’s while to listen to him.
